Dr. Muhammad Fahim Raza | Kwantlen Polytechnic University

The TTP’s apiculture technician, Dr. Muhammad Fahim Raza, gave a brief overview of our American foulbrood (AFB; Paenibacillus larvae) spore surveillance project to our friends over at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. This project, funded by Pollinator Partnership Canada and in collaboration with researchers from the Applied Genomics Centre supported by Genome BC (AGC) at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, is evaluating the distribution of AFB spores across British Columbia using pooled, extracted honey samples. To watch the interview and read the article, click here.
